The story focuses on the defence of the city of Tobruk where, on one side of this conflict, stood the German Afrika Korps together with the Italian Royal Army, and on the other, the British, along with allied nations from all corners of the world – India, Australia, New Zealand, France, Poland and the Czech Republic. Most of the allied soldiers were volunteers – sometimes simple farmers, and craftsmen, but there was also no shortage of criminals, university lecturers or even students. It was this group of rag tags, with the full support of the British army, that showed that the Nazis could be defeated. Moreover, this will be a film about the emotional connection between men, a need for emotional closeness and a more mature masculinity.
